Happy Virus Happy
On the 3 January 2010, at beloved Brooklyn haunt Monkeytown, artists Jim Avignon (Berlin) and Jon Burgerman (UK) returned to New York to perform, paint and purr for your delight as their new band Anxieteam.
Using the most modern technology currently available (whilst remaining relatively inexpensive) Happy Virus Happy saw both Avignon and Burgerman project onto the walls of the venue a startling, experimental, visual spectacle. Compositions, characters and crocodiles danced into life, spawned live in between and during songs.
The audience was soothed and massaged, in an audio visual sense, by the dexterous doodling and velveteen voices of Anxieteam. Songs of salads, mischievous rodents and heartache were carried along on a wave of melodic electronic beats occasionally punctuated by the fragile and fudged plucking of a ukulele.

Thanks for the journey to the land of strangeness. We enjoyed our visit. We may come again. We loved the Yo Gabba Gabba Boosh mix-up.
