Jim and Jon in Cologne

After the live drawing we performed a set as our band to the audience both inside and outside of the gallery.

We had some lovely new masks to wear and new songs to play.

Afterwards Jim signed a lot of autographs for his German fans. Unlike a lot of artists Jim actually signs photos of himself!

Even the Queen, from Britain, came over to get some free doodles from Jim, the old cheapskate.

The soft sculptures were made by the magical Felt Mistress and the masks were made by the wonderbar Lin Fashion.
Special big thank you to Jorg, Isabel and everyone at Heliumcowboy, without whom the exhibition would of been impossible to realise and a lot less fun to make. Thank you to Ollie Johns as well for all his hard work and pumpkin growing skills.

Anxieteam June 2010

First we played at Pete’s Candy Store in Brooklyn. During the song Fortune Cookie we handed out cookies with fortunes we’d penned ourselves in them. I took so long handing them out to the audience I didn’t get to sing the last part of the song.

For the Bushwick open studios weekend we played a small gig in the courtyard of the gallery Factory Fresh. During the performance we painted the backdrop and floor. Parts of the painting refers to the songs we played and the banter we had with the audience.

Our final NYC gig for June was at Goodbye Blue Monday. We had been invited to play by Kim, who also joined us for a song during our set. For the last song we encouraged the audience to sing-along with us and provided lyric sheets to help them. We also had a free raffle running through the set, the prize of which was a special Anxieteam CD, the first CD we’ve ever made.

Inkstrumental event at Apple, London

Get over to the Apple Store, Regent Street, London for a special evening featuring myself and London design studio ustwo. We will talk about how we made the excellent iPhone and iPad app Inkstrumental and probably act all silly a bit too. I may do some digital doodling throughout. From 7pm, at the Apple Store, 235 Regent Street, London.

The app lets you make and share crazy music with your friends. You can choose from a vast array of characters, each with their own weird sound that when tapped, is automatically played, recorded and added to the wonky, hypnotic, rolling beats. By combining all the characters and sounds on offer you can create and record a mash-up of noise and mayhem. A sure fire way to delight and annoy in equal measure.

By hitting the YouTube icon you can share your music video with all friends and the rest of the world (who have access to the internet and YouTube).

Pen Friends

Pen Friends is a new exhibition I will have at Here Gallery in Cornwall (UK). A selection of paintings and drawings will be shown. Visitors to the show can become, for a limited time, one of my pen friends. Each will receive an artwork in the post as a response to a letter they initially send to me.
